Throughout a high-cost-living grows in Asia, some persons in Hong Kong and Japan are forced to reside in McDonald's since the "doors always open" policy. As the staffs introduce, most of the McRefugees stay-in for a short-time-period. Most McRefugees have their own jobs, they reside there for various reasons.

Rather than that, the Hong Kong McDonald's restaurants are also being as a social center while Hong Kong does not have much.
