In the epitome of irony, after the success of the hit summer film Straight Outta Compton, the city of Compton wasn’t able to bask in it because there weren’t any movie theaters in the Compton area. After taking a deeper look into the matter, a USC professor expressed that the area had become such a low income spot in California that it had gotten to the point of being heavily uninvested in.
