The World is a private residential yacht serving as a residential community owned by its residents.[1] The residents, from about 19 different countries, live on board as the ship travels the earth—staying in most ports several days. A few residents live on board full time while most visit periodically throughout the year.[1] It is operated by ROW Management, Ltd., headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.[2]
